The 4G wireless technology can prove many great options for
services to various customers, just name a few ...
- Professionals or online marketers ... no longer
need to seek out Wi-Fi hotspots or be constrained by the low speeds and limitations of 3G modem cards;
- College students
or retirees ... can have affordable Internet service to meet their needs at home, on campus, on parks, malls ... and on-the-go;
- Travelers or Commuters can work or access entertainment online on the way to and from home;
- Busy parents can have
full Internet connectivity for their kids studying or playing games in the back of their family vehicle.

What
is 4G ?
4G is a marketing term that Wirless Internet Service Providers are using
to describe the "fourth generation" of wireless services.
(wikipedia.org)
4G refers to the fourth generation of cellular wireless standards. It is a successor to 3G and 2G standards. A 4G system is
expected to provide a comprehensive and secure all-IP based solution where facilities such as IP telephony, ultra-broadband
Internet access, gaming services and streamed multimedia may be provided to users. The nomenclature of the generations generally
refers to a change in the fundamental nature of the service. The first was the move from analogue (1G) to digital (2G) transmission.
This was followed by multi-media support, spread spectrum transmission and at least 200 kbit/s (3G) and now 4G, which refers
to all IP packet switched networks, mobile ultra-broadband (gigabit speed) access and multi-carrier transmission. In
general, a 4G system is able to provide a comprehensive IP solution where voice, data and streamed multimedia can be
given to users on an Anytime, Anywhere basis, and at higher data rates than previous generations.

About WiMAX
The Mobile WiMAX (IEEE 802.16e-2005)
mobile wireless broadband access (MWBA) standard is sometimes branded 4G, and offers peak data rates of 128 Mbit/s downlink
and 56 Mbit/s uplink over 20 MHz wide channels. The IEEE 802.16m evolution of 802.16e is under development, with the objective
to fulfill the IMT-Advanced criteria of 1 Gbit/s for stationary reception and 100 Mbit/s for mobile reception.

How fast is 4G compared
to 3G?
WiMax providers are offering the download speeds of between 2 megabits per second and 6 mbps,
with peak speeds of 10 mbps and more. Most 3G data systems today deliver speeds of between 400 kilobits per second (that is,
0.4 mbps) and 1.5 mbps. In theory, the 4G wireless Internet is up to 6 times faster than 3G wirless Internet.
4G Wireless
